MOSCOW, Aug 1 — RIA Novosti. The army continues to seize Western weapons samples in the combat zone. The High-Precision Complexes holding, part of the Rostec state Corporation, reported that six samples of Western military equipment, including German, French and American production, had already fallen into their hands. About what they managed to find out – in the material of RIA Novosti.
Valuable "filling"
Unfortunately, the "High-precision complexes" did not explain what kind of machines they are talking about. It is unlikely about "Leopards" and "Bradley" - all damaged and abandoned by the Ukrainians German tanks and American infantry fighting vehicles remained in the zone of active hostilities. No one will risk scarce repair and evacuation equipment for them. And not every BRAM is able to drag a 62-ton Leopard to the rear, which lost its running gear on a mine.
It is reliably known that the Russian Armed Forces managed to "touch" the French wheeled tank AMX-10RC.
According to the recognition of our military, the car, contrary to expectation, does not represent anything special – it is "cardboard" and breaks through from a large-caliber machine gun. However, its "stuffing" may be of interest to the Russian defense industry, in particular, the Cotac fire control system from Safran and the DIVT-16 thermal imager from Thales.

In addition, it would be interesting for specialists to dig into the power plant of this machine. The Baudouin 6F11 SRX diesel engine with a capacity of 300 horsepower allows you to reach speeds of up to 85 kilometers per hour. The power reserve is a thousand kilometers. And the hydropneumatics is equipped with a mechanism for changing the clearance in the range from 210 to 600 millimeters.
Swedish Trophy
A much more valuable example is the Swedish infantry fighting vehicle CV–40.90C. Combat weight - 23-25 tons, crew - three people, landing party - 6-8 fighters. The layout is standard for the BMP of the Western school, here our designers are unlikely to learn anything new.

However, modules of composite armor with ceramic AMAP elements of German production, capable of withstanding a 30-mm armor-piercing feathered projectile, may be of interest to the military-industrial complex.
In addition to a good reservation, the CV-90 has a very interesting gun - a 40-millimeter Bofors L70 cannon, a deep modification of the anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War. The rate of fire is from 60 to 600 rounds per minute.
Of particular interest are the projectiles included in the ammunition of the gun with a programmable fuse. Depending on the installations entered in advance, they can be undermined at any part of the trajectory.
This feature turns such ammunition into an effective means of defeating infantry hidden in trenches and small-sized drones in the air.
Not only for the military-industrial complex
In addition, NATO-made armored vehicles used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine probably fell into the hands of the Russian army. Their nomenclature is wide - American MaxxPro, British "Mastiff" and "Husky", Turkish "Bricks", German "Dingoes", French "Bastions" and many others.

It is unlikely that they can be of any use to the Russian defense industry, with the exception of their on-board communications. Russian "Tigers" and "Typhoons" show themselves in their own, at least, no worse.
In any case, each trophy, as experts say, is valuable. If not practical, then at least museum. The demonstration of military equipment captured from the enemy to the general public is one of the most effective ways of visual agitation. And the West will once again think about whether to transfer its advanced weapons to Ukraine.
