TSAMTO, July 25. Rosoboronexport of Rostec State Corporation will take part in the Second Summit, the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, which will be held at the Expoforum in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, 2023.
The company will present a wide range of tools and solutions to ensure the security of the state and society.

As a result of the negotiations on the sidelines of the first summit in Sochi, we saw a very high prolonged conversion. From 2019 to the present, we have signed over 150 contract documents with African partners and have replenished our portfolio of orders for more than $10 billion. During this time, our presence has expanded to five more countries on the continent," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.
The Russia-Africa Summit helps Rostec, Rosoboronexport and other Russian companies to maintain and strengthen ties with traditional partners, find reliable customers and start developing new market segments.
"The mission of Rosoboronexport at the Second Russia-Africa Summit is to work out with the delegations of more than 30 countries of the continent who came to St. Petersburg, the concepts of combating the main challenges to the global African security architecture. The company will present the means developed and tested in Russia to counter terrorism, organized crime, cyber threats, protection of the constitutional order and public order, protection of borders and important facilities," Alexander Mikheev said.
At the summit, Rosoboronexport will offer the guests of the event the products of Russian companies in the Expoforum pavilion, as well as on a static platform. The company's stand is divided into thematic zones dedicated to the means of combating terrorism and intelligent digital technologies.
As part of the means of countering terrorist threats, the company will present special small arms, combat equipment, tactical optics, non-lethal means, means of inspection and detection of explosive devices, perimeter protection and satellite communication systems.
In the Intelligent Digital Technologies zone, Rosoboronexport will show IT solutions developed by Russian companies, tested on the domestic market and adapted for use in African countries. These include a comprehensive Smart City project, a national-level cybersecurity platform, as well as Internet monitoring systems, information protection and legal data interception.
At the open exhibition, Rosoboronexport and a number of Russian companies will demonstrate the most popular samples of military, dual-use and civilian products on the African continent, designed to counter various security threats.
The composition of the outdoor area is also divided by themes. In the area of unmanned aerial vehicles, the Orion reconnaissance and strike UAV, the Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 reconnaissance UAVs, the Kub-E barrage ammunition and other complexes with extensive experience in real combat conditions will be presented. Means of countering them, including RB-504P-E, "Sickle-VS5", "Sapphire" and a number of others, are exhibited in rows with unmanned vehicles. The Spartak, Tiger-Raid and Strela armored vehicles are on display in the zone of armored combat vehicles.
Guests will also be able to get acquainted with the Russian helicopter technology, which has a great export potential, at the site of the Russian Helicopters holding, which is part of Rostec. The summit will feature the Mi-8MTV-1 in the medical version, the Mi-171E and Mi-38 in VIP versions, the Ansat and the first Russian offshore helicopter Mi-171A3.
Rosoboronexport plans to implement a large-scale business program. Meetings are expected with the majority of delegations, some of which are represented at the highest level.
