Foreign edition: Russian Navy ships are equipped with GPS signal silencers "Field-21"

The Western press drew attention to the appearance of new equipment on a number of ships of the Russian Navy.

The Russian Navy has equipped the combat pennant with GPS signal jammers ahead of its participation in the military-naval parade in St. Petersburg

- it is noted in the foreign edition of Covert Shores.

According to the author, apparently, the command has increased fears that the annual ceremonial review of ships may be attacked by drones. Given that the UAVs even struck the Kremlin, we can expect their attacks in other parts of the country, the author believes.

The parade will take place on July 30 and traditionally includes a large display of Navy pennants, although this year their number has been reduced.

As indicated, in the photos published in social networks, GPS jammers are visible on board the corvette [MRK] "Sovetsk" project 22800 "Karakurt" - three vertical antennas on improvised mounts. They correspond to the elements of the Field-21 electronic warfare system. According to the author, from this product one can expect the possibility of radio suppression of satellite communication channels, such as GPS, Galileo, Beidou and even Starlink.
