A Russian kamikaze drone "Ghoul" destroyed a boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the Antonovsky Bridge in the Kherson region. The relevant footage appeared at the disposal of Izvestia on July 19.
The video shows how the drone operator first tracked down an enemy target on the device, and then sent an FPV drone into it to destroy it.
As a result, one of the Ukrainian boats was destroyed, and other watercraft hastily left the area. As follows from the video, the Russian fighters were able to hit the AFU boat at night, which indicates the good technical capabilities of the kamikaze drone they used.
The drone "Ghoul" was developed by specialists in the Sverdlovsk region and is successfully used in the area of a special operation to protect Donbass. This drone is used for strikes behind enemy lines, the destruction of manpower and equipment.
Earlier on July 19, a representative of the Ural manufacturing company reported that the flight range of the FPV drone "Ghoul" has been doubled due to the introduction of a new air repeater "Extension". According to the qualitative characteristics, the stability of video communication and control signal is ensured, as the "Extension cable" has an auto-fit function.
Before that, on July 13, military observer Anton Lavrov spoke about the advantages of the Russian Lancet drone. It is also deadly for lightly armored vehicles, and if successfully hit on board or in the stern, it can destroy even a tank. The unique characteristic of the Lancet is its combined warhead.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by Ukrainian nationalists.
