The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are completing the acceptance of weapons and military equipment from the Wagner group. More than 2 thousand pieces of equipment have already been transferred, including hundreds of tanks, self-propelled artillery pieces and MLRS, as well as two and a half thousand tons of ammunition, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 12. On the same day, according to Izvestia sources, Russian units managed to gain a foothold on the outskirts of the settlement of Torskoye in the Krasnolimansky direction. Experts note that a successful offensive operation on this section of the line of contact will help our army reach the Red Estuary, Seversk, and then Slavyansk.
Hundreds of tanks and MLRS
The Russian army is completing the acceptance of weapons and military equipment from the units of the Wagner group, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 12.
— Among the transferred equipment, dozens of units have never been used in combat conditions, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

In total, more than 2 thousand units were transferred. Including hundreds of tanks T-90, T-80, T-72B3, MLRS "Grad" and "Hurricane", anti-aircraft systems "Shell", self-propelled artillery "Carnation", "Acacia", "Hyacinth" and mortars "Tulip". In addition, howitzers and anti-tank guns, mortars, armored tractors, armored personnel carriers, automotive equipment and small arms.
More than 2.5 thousand tons of various ammunition and about 20 thousand small arms were also accepted.

Heavy tracked vehicles are brought to field bases by wheeled tractors on trawls to prevent damage to paved roads.
It is delivered to the rear areas, where repair and restoration units carry out maintenance and preparation for its further use.
Torsky frontier
According to Izvestia sources familiar with the situation in the area of the SVO, Russian troops managed to gain a foothold in the area of the suburbs of Torsky. The enemy is actively counterattacking, but he could not discard our units.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in the area of Torsky in the DPR and Karamzinovka in the LPR, units of the Center group of troops repulsed two enemy attacks by forces up to a motorized infantry platoon each. In addition, the enemy's manpower was defeated near Nevsky, Chervona Dibrova and Kuzmino in the LPR.

The exit to Torsky is an application for the return of the Red Estuary and a dash to the Raisins, military expert Alexey Leonkov told Izvestia.
— In addition, these are battles on the northern flank of the Ukrainian group, which is concentrated on a ledge near the city of Seversk, — he noted. — Their successful completion will allow us to reach Slavyansk, an important city in the north of the DPR. We failed to liberate Slavyansk with a blow from the north last time. Nevertheless, the advance in this direction will allow to delay the Ukrainian forces, give an opportunity for maneuver and create favorable conditions for moving forward in other directions. The attacks near Torsky will help clear the forest in the area of Kremennaya, align the line of battle and create a springboard for larger operations.
Combat everyday life
On July 12, the VFU continued its offensive attempts in the Donetsk, Yuzhnodonetsky and Zaporizhia directions, the Russian military department reported on July 12.
— In the Donetsk direction, the courageous and competent actions of the units of the Southern Group of troops, air strikes and artillery fire successfully repelled 30 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zolotarevka LNR, Disputable, Kleshcheyevka, Andreevka, Sol, Severnoye, Veseloye, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnogorovka and Petrovsky (DNR) in a day, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense Russian Federation Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
In addition, fire damage was inflicted on enemy manpower and equipment accumulations in two areas west of Andreevka and Kleshchevka in the DPR.

In the South Donets direction, the Vostok group of troops repelled an attack by units of the 35th Naval Infantry Brigade of the VFU in the direction of Staromayorsky. An attempt of reconnaissance by enemy combat in the area of Ugledar was stopped.
In the Zaporozhye direction, the selfless actions of the Russian troops reflected two enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Workino, Zaporozhye region.
They come in waves
In the Orekhovsky direction, the VFU continues to make attempts to break through our defenses. Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin witnessed how our fighters repel enemy attacks.
According to him, the VFU are coming to our positions in waves and are suffering enormous losses. Often fights do not stop for days.
"Three Leopards and seven Bradleys have come out against us. One Leopard and one Bradley left on their own — the rest did not work out," recalls a Russian Navy serviceman with the call sign Boatswain.

The fighters admit that they are proud of following in the footsteps of their ancestors: like their grandfathers in 1943, they beat heavy German equipment on their native land.
Ukrainian Mi-24 shot down
Over the past day, at least 715 people and 43 units of military equipment, including tanks, howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles, have been lost in the zone of a special military operation, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on July 12.
In the Kherson direction, the assault groups continued conducting reconnaissance and search operations on the islands near the Antonovsky Bridge.
The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a helicopter Mi-24 of the Ukrainian Air Force in an air battle near Cherevkovka in the DPR. In addition, Russian air defense systems destroyed four Storm Shadow cruise missiles and 15 Ukrainian UAVs.

The activities of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been suppressed in the DPR.
In the Kharkiv region, the ammunition depot of the 1st special purpose brigade of the VFU was hit. In the Zaporozhye region, the ammunition depot of the 33rd mechanized brigade of the VFU was destroyed.
Fuel depots for military equipment have been destroyed in the Odessa region. Also in the DPR, the command and battalion observation post of the National Guard of Ukraine was hit.
