As reported on July 11, 2023, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, the Irkutsk Aviation Plant of the United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) handed over a batch of Yak-130 combat training aircraft to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. The number of aircraft in this batch is not disclosed.

The press release of the UAC says that "The Irkutsk Aircraft Factory fulfills its obligations under the state defense order. Aviation equipment is manufactured in accordance with the schedule. The aircraft of the following batches are in production, scheduled for delivery this year," said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of the UAC."
From the bmpd side, we point out that, presumably, the Yak-130 aircraft of the new construction of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ), now transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces, are the third batch (and the first in 2023) of this type of aircraft built under the contract for the supply of 25 Yak-130 machines for the Russian Aerospace Forces, concluded by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC August 25, 2020. The number of aircraft transferred in the current batch is not reported, and their side numbers are retouched in official photos and videos.
Earlier, under this contract, according to known data, two batches of only two Yak-130 aircraft in each were transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense - one in December 2021 and one in November 2022. The side numbers of the 2021 and 2022 delivery aircraft are also unknown. Apparently, in 2023, deliveries under this contract will be increased.
Thus, from 2009 to the beginning of 2023, the Russian Ministry of Defense received a total of 120 Yak-130 aircraft under various contracts - of which 12 of the first two series were built at JSC Nizhny Novgorod Aviation Plant Sokol, and the rest at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
