The US Army has been testing new Oshkosh FMTV A2 trucks for four weeks, designed to replace the old FMTVS.
The tests took place at Fort Bliss in Texas. Several versions of FMTV A2 logistics machines have been tested. FMTV A2 is an improved version of FMTV trucks, which differs from its predecessor by a different cabin design. The new model has a classic layout, with the engine compartment located in front of the cab. However, there is no longer a power plant under the hood, which is still located under the cab.
