TSAMTO, July 5. On July 4, at the Vimpel shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), the ceremonial launching of the border patrol ship Burevestnik of the Guys project took place.
The ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev, the General director of the Vimpel GCC Vladimir Katyshev, the first deputy chairman of the Government of the Yaroslavl region Maxim Avdeev, the head of the city of Rybinsk Dmitry Rudakov and other guests.
"Despite the sanctions pressure from unfriendly states, Russian shipbuilders demonstrate a good margin of safety. The example of USC enterprises (which includes the Vimpel shipbuilding plant) shows that most of our shipyards and design bureaus have dynamically adapted to changes in the market, are successfully developing and are fulfilling the tasks set by the state in a timely manner. I will note separately the executors of the state defense order. The launching of the border patrol ship of the Guys project at the Vimpel shipyard is one of the striking examples of the development and creation of the most modern ships," said Viktor Yevtukhov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
"The launch of the ship is a landmark event important not only for the company and its employees, but also for the city, for the region and for the whole country. This ship, after passing mooring, sea trials and state tests, will protect the borders of our Homeland, as well as the other 5 boats of this project built at our enterprise. The work of the entire enterprise is invested in it: designers, technologists, production workers, builders, planners of auxiliary services. Together we are doing one big and important thing – we are building ships that protect our territories," said Vladimir Katyshev, Director General of the GCC.
The head of the region Mikhail Evraev in his speech congratulated the staff of the enterprise on a significant event, stressing that "President Vladimir Putin pays great attention to shipbuilding. The Yaroslavl region makes a significant contribution to the development of the industry and strengthening the defense capability of our country. We have enormous experience and developments in this field, a resource and industrial base, a huge potential of scientific and design schools. We are interested in our shipbuilding enterprises developing, wages growing, and products being modern and high-tech."
During the ceremony, the rite of consecration of the ship was performed. The godmother of the PUKR "Burevestnik" is a leading specialist of the logistics department Natalia Bukharina.
The ship is designed to solve the following tasks:
- monitoring compliance with established regimes in internal sea waters and territorial sea;
- detention of infringing vessels, including high-speed vessels and boats, delivery of inspection groups to them;
- carrying out cargo transportation and transportation of personnel in the interests of border authorities;
