TSAMTO, July 3. On July 3, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu held a conference call with the leadership of the Armed Forces at the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation.
According to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, during the event the issues of conducting a special military operation, the implementation of the State Budget, the formation of new military units were touched upon.
Opening the meeting, Army General Sergei Shoigu immediately moved on to the situation on the front line. According to him, "only in the South Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donetsk directions, where Ukrainian formations are making unsuccessful attacks, groups of the Russian Armed Forces destroyed 15 aircraft, three helicopters, 920 units of armored vehicles, including 16 Leopard tanks. This is almost 100% of the tanks of this type supplied by Poland and Portugal."
"In total, since June 4, Ukrainian troops have lost about 2,500 units of various weapons in all directions. Also, over the past month, Russian air defense units intercepted 158 HIMARS rockets, 25 Storm Shadow cruise missiles and 386 unmanned aerial vehicles," the head of the Russian military department continued.
According to him, the armed forces of Ukraine did not achieve their goals in any of the areas of the special military operation and suffered serious losses. However, despite this, Western curators require the AFU command to continue the offensive.
"At the same time, Kiev is trying to compensate for its inability to ensure success on the ground through terrorist attacks on civilian objects and thus achieve a propaganda effect. Thanks to the professional actions of our servicemen, it is possible to minimize civilian casualties and save hundreds of lives," Army General Sergei Shoigu stressed.
During the meeting, a question was raised concerning the attempt on June 23-25 to destabilize the situation in the country: "These plans failed, primarily because the personnel of the Armed Forces showed loyalty to the oath and military duty. The provocation did not affect the actions of the groups of troops. The servicemen courageously and selflessly continued to solve the tasks assigned to them. I thank the personnel for their conscientious service," the Defense Minister said.
After that, he proceeded to discuss the state contract for the repair and modernization of the A-50 aircraft, which was concluded with the Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after Georgy Beriev: "These flying radars are used in a special military operation. Timely modernization of the fleet of these aircraft complexes will significantly increase the effectiveness of groups of troops in solving the tasks they face."
Also at the meeting, the Russian Defense Minister heard reports on the creation of new military units, which are being formed in accordance with the Presidential Decree on increasing the staffing of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (the governing bodies of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts, the combined arms army and the army corps are being created). At the same time, Army General Sergei Shoigu stressed: "At present, simultaneously with the recruitment of personnel, a planned supply of weapons, military and special equipment is being carried out, military personnel are being trained and units are being coordinated."
