MOSCOW, June 23. /tass/. A new batch of multi-purpose supermaneuverable Su-35S fighters has been transferred to the Aerospace Forces of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said on Friday.
"Russian aircraft manufacturers have manufactured and handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry another batch of new aircraft. The Su-35S is one of the best operational and tactical aircraft in the world, which can perform a wide range of tasks and enjoys deserved success," the minister said, quoted by the government's press service.
The press service clarified that the Su-35S aircraft manufactured by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A.Gagarin of the United Aircraft Corporation (part of the Rostec State Corporation) flew to the home airfield. The machines have passed all factory tests. Each aircraft was tested in the air in various operating modes.
The Su-35 (according to the NATO codification - Flanker-E+) is a Russian multi-purpose supermaneuverable fighter with a controlled thrust vector of the 4++ generation. As part of the Russian Aerospace Forces, it carries the Su-35S index.
It is designed to gain air supremacy by destroying manned and unmanned aerial vehicles with guided missiles at long, medium and short range, when conducting long-range and short-range maneuverable battles, during autonomous and group actions, hitting surface and ground targets with all types of weapons, in any weather conditions, as well as ground infrastructure facilities covered by air defense and located at considerable distances from the home airfield.
The maximum take-off weight is 34.5 tons, the maximum speed can reach 2.5 thousand km / h. The flight range varies from 1.5 to 4.5 thousand km, and the practical ceiling of the aircraft is 20 thousand m.
The Su-35 has the ability to use the entire range of existing and promising models of air-to-air and air-to-surface aviation weapons, including high-precision. The main armament of the Su-35S is the 30-millimeter GSH-30-1 aviation cannon, short-, medium- and long-range air-to-air missiles, X-31, X-35U or X-59M anti-ship missiles, various types of precision and unguided ammunition. The IUS-35 information and control system and a radar with a phased array antenna, which has a target detection range from 100 to 400 km, are also integrated into the aircraft.
