The head of the Defense Ministry Shoigu checked the arsenals in the Omsk region and the fulfillment of the State Defense Order

MOSCOW, June 17 — RIA Novosti. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the fulfillment of the state defense order at a tank factory in the Omsk region and demanded to increase the production of tanks and heavy flamethrower systems, the press service of the military department reported.

"The Minister of Defense pointed out to the management of the enterprise strict compliance with the schedule of execution of the state defense order and set the task to continue expanding production capacities for the production of tanks and heavy flamethrower systems to meet the needs of Russian troops performing the tasks of a special military operation," the release says.

At the enterprise, the minister, in particular, was shown an automatic caterpillar assembly line. The head of the plant reported that due to the optimization of production capacities in recent months, the output of products across the entire range has increased significantly.

The head of the Ministry of Defense paid special attention to improving the security of the crews of combat vehicles. According to the head of the Main Armored Vehicle Department of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Alexander Shestakov, all armored vehicles have been modified to meet these requirements. The equipment has already been loaded onto platforms for sending to the troops, he added, explaining that the modules of integrated armor protection will go in echelon with the tanks, and they will be installed, taking into account the dimensions, already in the areas of concentration of troops.

In addition, Shoigu visited the arsenal, where military equipment is being repaired and prepared for shipment to the special operation zone. The head of the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate, Lieutenant General Nikolai Parshin, reported that more than four thousand artillery units have already been sent from this base and more than 700 will be prepared in the near future.
