According to the Telegram channel "Black Sea Fleet", the dismantling of a number of former ships and boats of the naval forces of Ukraine, remaining in Sevastopol and Donuzlav since the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation in March 2014, has begun in Sevastopol. For nine years, they have been on the sidelines.
The former ships and boats of the Ukrainian Navy delivered to the ship-separating base in Inkerman in Sevastopol - from left to right: the missile boat "Pridniprov'ya" of project 12411T, the artillery boat "Kherson" (former torpedo boat of project 1388), the sea minesweeper "Chernigiv" of project 266M, the corvette "Khmelnitsky" of project 12412, the sea minesweeper "Cherkasi" of project 266M, the Lutsk corvette of the 1124MU project. The channel cites photos of the former Navy ships transferred to the ship-separating base in Inkerman - the Lutsk corvettes of project 1124MU and Khmelnitsky of project 12412, the Cherkasi and Chernigiv naval minesweepers of project 266M, the Pridniprov missile boat of project 12411T and the Kherson artillery boat (the former torpedo boat of project 1388).
In turn, as the Zen channel "Morskoy" writes, in the center of the city of Sevastopol, in the Southern Bay, the floating crane of the Black Sea Fleet PK-3100 prepared to disassemble the floating crane of the NAVY "Kalanchak".
The Izvestia newspaper also reported that "the Ukrainian warships remaining in the Crimea since 2014 have been handed over for disposal. This was reported to Izvestia on June 9 by sources in the military department."
According to the Morskoy channel, "the reason for the decisions made is very simple. Over the past 9 years, this scrap metal has been constantly moved from one berth to another, because it interfered with the daily activities of the Black Sea Fleet. It was also necessary to allocate permanent funding for the maintenance of this fleet. Russia has a large fleet. And there are not enough free berths for "non-combatant" units. And even more money. The situation no longer allows us to give the ships to their former owners. Therefore, there was only one way out - to put them on pins and needles.
According to the "Marine", the only thing that can be of value is the tug "Kremenets". The vessel was built in Finland for the USSR Navy. The Finns built well. Shortly before 2014, he underwent repairs and could continue to serve as part of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. All the other ships are too old and dilapidated, they do not represent any value for the Russian Navy."
