The peak of the enemy's activity is already behind us and we should expect a retaliatory strike by our army, experts say
The armed formations of Ukraine, having failed to achieve their goals in the South Donets direction, became more active on the Vremyevsky ledge and in the area of Artemovsk. On June 7, our troops repulsed 11 attacks on these sections of the line of contact, preventing a breakthrough of the defense. The enemy lost more than 600 people, 10 tanks, 29 armored vehicles and other military equipment. The peak of VFU activity is most likely behind us and the enemy should expect a retaliatory strike from our army, experts believe. Also on June 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed the explosion of the Tolyatti–Odessa ammonia pipeline in the Kharkiv region. And the strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted joint patrolling of airspace in the Asia-Pacific region with the Chinese Air Force.
Fighting in the south
The troops of the Russian group "Yug" repulsed eight attacks of the VFU in the Artemovsk area during the day. Ukrainian assault detachments attempted an offensive in the direction of the settlements of Yagodnoye, Dubovo-Vasilevka, Andreevka, Orekhovoz-Vasilevka, Kleshcheyevka, as well as the western outskirts of Artemovsk, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
— The enemy has not achieved the goal of the offensive. Interference in our defense is not allowed," said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
During the day, up to 415 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, six cars, a self-propelled artillery installation "Gvozdika", as well as a howitzer "Msta-B" were destroyed in battles.
There were battles on the Vremevsky ledge. The units of the Vostok group of forces repelled three enemy attacks with air strikes, rocket troops and artillery by the forces of two battalion tactical groups in the areas of the settlements of Neskuchnoye DNR and Levadnoye of the Zaporozhye region.

The attack of the VFU assault unit in the Novodonetsky district in the DPR was also repelled.
"This settlement is under the control of the Russian armed forces," the Defense Ministry stressed.
In the area of the October state farm, a column of Ukrainian armored vehicles was destroyed, most of the vehicles burned down. The remaining ones retreated to the starting line on the move.
In total, over 190 Ukrainian servicemen, eight tanks, including two wheeled AMX-10 made in France, 20 armored vehicles, 12 vehicles, the M777 artillery system made in the USA, the Gvozdika self-propelled gun, D-20 and D-30 howitzers, and the Hyacinth-B cannon were destroyed in the South Donets direction during the day.
As sources familiar with the situation told Izvestia, several motorized infantry companies of the VFU, reinforced with tanks, participated in the attacks in the area of Ugledar and the Vremevsky salient. The enemy tried to probe the defense and attack on the move. All these attempts were repulsed.

Also, in response to the active actions of the Russian army and tactical aviation, the Ukrainian command tried to deploy anti-aircraft systems near the line of contact, including Western ones — Patriot and IRIS-T. A comprehensive strike was inflicted on the positions of the air defense system. It is known about the defeat by Russian strike drones of combat vehicles from one of the Western complexes. All enemy attacks are repulsed.
The sources of Izvestia also said that after the losses suffered, Kiev is transferring at least three brigades from the reserve command to the Zaporozhye direction. While these forces are concentrating.
After three days of active fighting on June 4-6, which the Minister of Defense told about the day before, the enemy blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP, reduced activity and "licks wounds," military expert Vasily Dandykin noted in an interview with Izvestia.
— The fighting, of course, continues, but in principle, the line of contact has stabilized in the same state as it was before June 4. In the future, I think there will be no more such massive attempts, at least in the near future. And then we will need to deal with Avdiivka, Maryinka, Belgorod region. There are a lot of worries. They probed our defenses in different directions, but found no weak spot anywhere. Naturally, now they will refer to the fact that they need to accumulate strength again, get an F-16 and so on. They are already making excuses. Well, now, probably, the move is ours," the expert stressed.

Also, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on June 7 that in the area of the village of Masyutovka, Kharkiv region, on June 5, at about 21 o'clock, a Ukrainian sabotage group blew up the Tolyatti–Odessa ammonia pipeline. There are victims among the civilian population, they have already received medical care. Through the damaged areas, ammonia residues are being drained from the Ukrainian territory. There are no casualties among the Russian military.
Air defense will be strengthened
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu checked the fulfillment of the state defense order by visiting one of the enterprises of the corporation — Almaz-Antey. He inspected the workshops for the production of modern anti-aircraft missiles.
He was told about the programs to increase the production capacity of the enterprise, which will double the pace of deliveries to the troops of modern air defense systems.
During the inspection, the head of the military department pointed out the need to shorten the commissioning of new production facilities by synchronizing the installation of equipment and commissioning.
— I go to the enterprises, I see that the sites are launched in two or three months ... At the same time, the machine is working, the installation and commissioning of the next one is immediately underway, - the minister noted.

In 2023, Almaz-Antey Corporation increased the production of all manufactured products under the state defense order. The head of the concern, Jan Novikov, stressed that the company delivers products ahead of schedule. Air defense systems, including the S-300 "Favorit", S-400 "Triumph", S-350 "Vityaz", demonstrate high efficiency in destroying enemy air targets.
Sergei Shoigu stressed that the products manufactured by Almaz-Antey are in demand and show high efficiency in the zone of their own.
The Su-27 was shot down
At least 725 people and 84 units of military equipment, including howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles, were lost in the special operation zone in all strategic directions of the VFU, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on May 7.
In addition, enemy units were hit in the Kupyansk direction in the areas of the settlements of Novomlynsk, Kulagovka, Kislovka, Pershotravnevoye of the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhovka in the LPR. The activities of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the area of the village of Novoselovka of the LPR were suppressed, and a self-propelled artillery installation Paladin manufactured by the USA was destroyed.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, enemy units were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Ploshchanka, Karmazinovka, Chervonaya Dibrova, Kuzmino in the LPR and Yampolovka in the DPR. In the area of the Serebryansky forestry, the activities of two Ukrainian sabotage groups were suppressed, and the US-made M777 artillery system was also hit in the Kherson direction.
Russian air defense near the village of Nikiforovka in the DPR shot down a Su-27 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force. During the day, 24 rockets of the HIMARS, Uragan and Alder multiple launch rocket systems were intercepted.
Air patrol
The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Chinese Air Force conducted joint air patrols in the Asia-Pacific region.
The flight on the Tu-95MS strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Hong-6K of the Chinese Air Force over the waters of the Japanese and East China Seas, the western Pacific Ocean, lasted eight hours.
Covering the entire route of the joint patrol was carried out by Su-30SM, Su-35S of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Jian-11B of the Chinese Air Force.
Russian planes landed and took off from an airfield in China. At some stages, strategic missile carriers were accompanied by fighters of foreign states.

During the performance of the tasks, the aircraft of Russia and China acted strictly in accordance with the provisions of international law, there were no violations of the airspace of foreign states. All planes returned to their home airfields.
