In Ukraine, for the first time in a long time, they showed the only BM "Oplot" tank they have. A heavy 52-ton tracked vehicle was specially brought to one of the landfills located in the Kharkiv region, where the head of the military department of the Kiev puppet regime, Alexey Reznikov, arrived. This is reported by "RG: Russian weapons".
The former lawyer who has been in this post since November 2021, who served in the Soviet Air Force in the mid-80s, is poorly versed in the topic and, as they say, is not able to distinguish a tank from an infantry fighting vehicle. However, he loves to pose against the background of various techniques and even tries to control it.
It is not known whether he was entrusted with the helm of the Rampart this time, but judging by the photos that appeared on social networks, he was definitely taken for a ride on armor. In addition, the crew demonstrated maneuverable characteristics and was even able to fire a 125-mm cannon.
Reznikov, who had previously mainly evaluated NATO equipment, having first familiarized himself with this sample, promised to establish its mass production.
Of course, no one took the words of an incompetent functionary seriously, so even before the famous events, the Malyshev plant was experiencing big problems with the production of such tanks. This company was barely able to assemble a relatively small batch of forty-nine cars for Thailand in violation of all the contractual terms.
Then it was even worse. Pakistan, realizing that it is better not to mess with Ukrainians, preferred to purchase VT-4 (MW-3000) from the Chinese company NORINCO.
The American military, who wished to test the BM "Oplot" at home, waited for him for three years.
Currently, Ukraine is not even able to properly repair its damaged equipment, let alone new combat vehicles.
Therefore, this sample and its export counterpart "Scimitar" spend almost all the time in one of the secret shelters. Their appearance on the line of contact is unlikely.
Interestingly, the earlier T-84s are almost not fighting either. After one copy in February was damaged by our kamikaze drone "Lancet", they also prefer to keep them in the rear.
