All designated facilities have been hit, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Experts note that the Russian armed forces, on the eve of the expected counteroffensive of the enemy, have changed the tactics of strikes: now they are inflicted not on the infrastructure of the military-industrial and energy complexes, but on the warehouses and reserves of the VFU. The increased effectiveness of such attacks is also associated with an increase in the effectiveness of our intelligence.
Strikes on reserves
On the night of May 9, the Russian Armed Forces launched a concentrated strike with high-precision long-range sea- and air-based weapons at the points of temporary deployment of enemy reserves, as well as ammunition depots. The target of the strike has been achieved, all designated facilities have been hit, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

As sources familiar with the situation told Izvestia, Russian intelligence tools detected the advance of Ukrainian units and formations in a timely manner, their locations were established, as well as places of accumulation of military equipment and ammunition depots. The strikes lasted for several days, and high-precision sea, air and ground-based weapons were used for them. Operational and tactical missile systems were also actively used.

Ukrainian air defense tried to repel strikes and intercept weapons of destruction on approach to targets. The air defense of the VFU failed to cope with this task, its work is assessed as extremely inefficient.

The armed forces of the Russian Federation have changed the tactics of strikes and shifted their efforts from infrastructure to the destruction of enemy reserve units and warehouses, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
— It can be assumed that our intelligence has become better able to track the movement of reserves, including to the front line, — the expert explained. — Many times the promised Ukrainian offensive eventually moved from the planning stage to the preparation stage. They have begun to relocate, pulling units closer to the contact line. And this is another reason why they have become easier to detect. They began to move forward not only parts, but also warehouses — artillery, fuel and lubricants and others. Our forces have started fighting with the rear echelons, this will complicate the enemy's preparation for attacks.

The expert also noted that the enemy's advanced units and warehouses have already become available not only for strikes of our high-precision long-range weapons, but also planning bombs, long-range artillery systems and MLRS.
VFU lose warehouses
On May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding the 291st Artillery Brigade and the 55th separate helicopter Sevastopol Order of Kutuzov regiment the honorary name "Guards". Also, Russian troops hit the command and observation posts of the battalion of the 110th mechanized brigade of the VFU and the Center of Special Operations Forces of the VFU "South" on Veliky Island of the Kherson region. The actions of six Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed in the Kharkiv, Zaporozhye regions and the LPR.
In addition, on May 7, 22 Ukrainian attack drones were detected over the Black Sea. All of them were shot down by anti-aircraft missile systems or suppressed by electronic warfare.
