AN-140 Aviakor aircraft factory, located in Samara, is ready to re-establish the production of AN-140 model aircraft related to cargo and passenger aircraft.
Previously, Aviacor, in addition to the regional An-140, mass-produced the Tu-154 airliner and if any probability of resuming production is extremely low for it, then the issue of the An-140 is being seriously considered.
The turboprop AN-140 was developed jointly with the well-known Ukrainian Design Bureau, bearing the name "Antonov", but relatively recently it refused any cooperation and the production of these aircraft at the Samara aircraft manufacturer was stopped in 2015. At the same time, it is clarified that the resumption of production of the AN-140 is possible only if all parts and equipment are fully imported.
AN-140 Recall that after the termination of the production of the An-140, Aviacor received an order related to the construction with the participation of UZGA of the TVRS-44 turboprop aircraft with the name "Ladoga", also for regional purposes — fuselages and a number of units for it are being prepared in Samara, and later the plant will prepare ready-made sets of these aircraft, carry out final assembly and conduct their flight tests.
