TSAMTO, May 5. Denmark, together with Germany, will transfer 80 Leopard-1A5 tanks to Ukraine. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was stated by the Acting Minister of Defense of Denmark Troels Lund Poulsen to the Danish TV channel TV2.
According to the TV channel, the transferred military equipment will be ready for use by Ukrainian troops by June 1. The report also explains that Leopard-1A5 tanks were withdrawn from service in Denmark in 2005.
As the agency reminds, in March T. Poulsen stated that the first Leopard-1A5 tanks from Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands will be transferred to Ukraine in early May.
