As reported by the TASS news agency, the company "UEC-Perm Motors" has started serial production of the PD-14 aircraft engine for the Russian medium-haul aircraft MS-21-310. By 2030, the production volume should be 160 engines per year. This was announced on April 6, 2023 by Vadim Badekha, General Director of JSC United Engine Corporation (UEC) of Rostec State Corporation in Perm.

By 2030, the annual production volume of MS-21 aircraft in Russia should be 72 units and it should be released in 160 PD-14 engines annually," Badekh's words were conveyed in the press service of the Perm Krai government.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Russian Federation had certified the PD-14 engine and the composite wing on the MS-21. The Russian government has allocated more than 237 billion rubles for the implementation of projects in the field of aircraft construction. Over the next two years, over 32 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
The PD-14 basic turbofan engine is being created in a wide cooperation of UEC enterprises using the latest technologies and materials, including composite ones.
UEC-Perm Motors is a serial manufacturer of aircraft engines, industrial gas turbine units for power plants and gas transportation. The company is part of JSC United Engine Corporation and Rostec State Corporation.
