On April 4, 2023, the US Department of Defense announced the provision of a new large-scale package of US military assistance to Ukraine totaling $ 2.6 billion. Thus, the total amount of US military assistance officially allocated to Kiev since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 now amounts to about $ 35.1 billion, and the total amount of US military assistance to Ukraine since 2014 has reached $38 billion.

The main part of it in the amount of $ 2.1 billion is allocated within the framework of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), that is, the military equipment provided under it will be ordered by industry, and not transferred from the presence of the US armed forces. Due to the fact that the property and systems provided for this part of the package must be ordered by industry, then, apparently, a significant part of them will actually be delivered after a fairly long time. The second part of $ 500 million is allocated by the orders of the US President within his administrative powers (Presidential Drawdown of Security Assistance - PDA) and is an operational allocation of property from the presence of the US Department of Defense. This is the 35th presidential package of military assistance to Ukraine under the PDA from August 2021.
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2023, the United States in most cases does not indicate the number of ammunition and parts of weapons transferred to Ukraine. As part of this package, the PDA should be provided to Ukraine from the presence of the US Department of Defense:
- additional number of GMLRS precision guided missiles for HIMARS missile systems;
- additional number of anti-aircraft guided missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems;
- 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shots;
- 120 mm mortar rounds;
- 120 mm and 105 mm shots for tank guns;
- 25 mm shots for automatic guns BMP M2 Bradley;
- TOW anti-tank guided missiles;
- about 400 grenade launchers (apparently automatic anti-personnel) and 200 thousand shots to them;
- 11 evacuation vehicles:
- 61 heavy vehicle tanker;
- 10 tractors and 10 trailers for the transportation of heavy equipment;
- control and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair of military equipment;
- spare parts and other field equipment.
According to the information of the US Department of Defense, within the framework of this package, Ukraine should be supplied with:
- additional AMRAAM anti-aircraft guided missiles for NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems;
- nine anti-aircraft artillery systems with 30 mm guns on the chassis of trucks to combat unmanned aerial vehicles (as you can understand, a new weapon system);
- 10 mobile complexes for combating unmanned aerial vehicles using 70 mm APKWS guided missiles (as you can understand, these are L3Harris VAMPIRE complexes, the upcoming provision of which was announced to Ukraine for the first time back in August 2022);
- three radar stations for detecting aerial targets;
- 30-mm and 23-mm rounds for anti-aircraft artillery installations;

- tank bridge pavers (apparently AVLB);
