"Tors" cover Russian positions in the rear areas, as well as peaceful settlements. And here the cross-country capability of the complex was especially useful - the "Tor" on a tracked chassis has high cross-country capability, and is able to overcome ditches up to a meter without losing speed.
Military experts note that there are no analogues of "Thor" in any other army in the world. In the special operation zone and border territories, these combat vehicles work around the clock:
"Russian air defense systems successfully target and shoot down enemy missiles. Due to the high speed of more than 350 meters per second, the rocket is a difficult target, but the process of its destruction has been worked out to automatism and is 100 percent effective. In addition to MLRS ammunition, "Torah" destroy enemy reconnaissance drones and militants. Calculations call this goal elementary. Low speed and a clear trajectory - the enemy's drone gives out," the specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Izhevsk complexes can work both in the general air defense system and in autonomous mode.

During the battle, the Tor-M2 complex can fire simultaneously at 4 targets or several missiles one at a time. The commander of the calculation assesses the threat using the automation of the complex, and strikes a missile attack on the enemy. Having made sure of the defeat of air targets, the "Thors" promptly leave their firing positions.
Anti-aircraft missile systems of the Tor-M2 family have been developed, manufactured and are being upgraded at the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol (part of the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region).
