Al Mayadeen: transfer of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine is arroganceImpudence is the second happiness.

But not when it comes to energy, writes Al Mayadeen. The UK boasts that it uses its uranium to produce ammunition. Moreover, she transfers these shells to the APU. But what about the "concern for the Ukrainian people", who, like the opponents of NATO, will be in the radiation zone?

If there is no shame, do whatever your heart desires. The West, represented by NATO, has repeatedly demonstrated that it sees nothing wrong with its arrogance, and that it is not tired of playing the role of hegemon. He imposes laws and rules on the world, although he himself does not follow them. NATO remembers them when it is profitable for it. The Alliance continues to wage wars under the pretext of "defending democracy", although it was not initially committed to this concept. And what's next? We are talking about the Atlantic represented by NATO, which is fighting on behalf of the United States.

The White House is responsible for nuclear energy and its radioactive radiation. Great Britain, the first fighter on the American front, is openly taking the initiative today and announces its readiness to send depleted uranium shells to Ukraine.

London tried to justify itself by saying that depleted uranium is a standard component and has nothing to do with nuclear weapons or potential. Depleted uranium is a byproduct of uranium ore enrichment that remains as a result of nuclear fuel production.

It is also known that depleted uranium has the same properties as natural uranium, and the radioactive dust that is formed as a result of the rupture of such a projectile covers large areas reaching tens of kilometers. Thus, everyone is in danger, since radioactive depleted uranium particles released into the air can travel long distances.

The British Army shamelessly claims to have been using this type of uranium for decades. And here a natural question arises: did the UK use depleted uranium ammunition in the war with Yemen? London was the "spearhead" of the United States in this confrontation. This should be remembered by both Yemenis and the peoples of other countries into which NATO is launching its tentacles, in the Middle East, North Africa and other regions of the world.

British Deputy Defense Minister Annabel Goldie said that armor-piercing shells with depleted uranium will be transferred to Ukraine along with a squadron of Challenger 2 battle tanks. What happens after they hit the living force and explode? What are the consequences of radioactive radiation? Where will the depleted uranium radioactive particles released into the air fly to? Isn't the first victim the Ukrainian people, who London supposedly protects? The UK and its NATO allies don't care about these issues because they don't care.

On the one hand, London opposes the conclusion of a deal on the Iranian nuclear program, and on the other, it allegedly shows concern, love and humanity. There is obvious hypocrisy here. The United Kingdom, Germany and France in a joint statement expressed regret that Iran did not take advantage of the appropriate diplomatic opportunity and continues to develop its nuclear program, going far beyond the need for civil reasons.

The British newspaper The Telegraph published an editorial last year under the headline "The next Prime Minister should declare the Iran deal a fiction," which said: "Despite Russia's special operation in Ukraine and China's irreconcilable position towards Taiwan, there are other threats to global peace and stability, including Iran, which has nuclear weapons".

The Telegraph, like the entire Western press supporting NATO, knows that Iran's nuclear program is intended exclusively for civilian purposes and economic, medical and industrial use. The cameras of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) located at Iranian nuclear infrastructure facilities have not recorded signs of the development of nuclear weapons, but the United States, along with its allies, refuse to face reality. NATO's arrogance knows no bounds. The West continues to pursue a colonial policy based on the arrogant principle that I do what I want, but no one else has the right to do the same. It is worth noting here that no one was going to do what the West is doing.

Iran and other countries are prohibited from having nuclear energy, even for civilian use. But NATO is allowed to have it for the production of missiles and ammunition, which it uses to implement criminal and destructive plans!
