In honor of the Day of the Armed Forces of Serbia on April 22, 2023, the Ministry of Defense of the country is organizing the largest exhibition of weapons and military equipment used by the Serbian army in its history. The Serbian press writes about this, referring to information from the military department.
The exhibition will begin its work at the airfield "Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlovich" in Batainitsa. There will be presented weapons of domestic and foreign production, foreign military equipment. Now the Ministry of Defense of the country is already preparing the event. It is known that more than 500 units of military equipment and weapons will be brought to one place. Among them are tanks, Nora howitzers, artillery pieces, Milos and Lazar combat vehicles, Pantsir, FK-3, PASARS anti-aircraft missile systems.
Special attention at the exhibition will be paid to the air Force. The planes will be on the ground, but the pilots will show their skills on some machines and in the air. A special segment of the exhibition will be presented by Chinese-made unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as Serbian Pegasus UAVs.

Equipment and weapons of the 63rd Parachute Brigade, the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and the Cobra military police detachment will be displayed on the runway. These formations are considered elite in the Serbian armed forces.

The Serbian press writes that Belgrade has ambitious plans for further equipping the armed forces. In 2023-2024 alone, the Ministry of Defense plans to purchase about 200 combat vehicles for various units of the Serbian army. It is also planned to purchase new fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and increase the number of special purpose units. The cost of the announced reinforcement will exceed 300 million euros.
The display of weapons and military equipment at the airfield aims to demonstrate to citizens and guests of the country the seriousness of the Serbian leadership's intentions to modernize and re-equip the country's armed forces. Currently, defense investments are considered by the Serbian authorities as one of the highest priorities.
