Journalists managed to christen the meeting of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, which took place in Moscow from March 21 to 22, as a historic event.
There is no doubt that this event was closely watched all over the world. Especially in the West, where the meeting of politicians was taken extremely seriously, and in some places even with confusion. Abroad, they realize that the heads of Russia and China jointly continue to "recycle" the unipolar Anglo-Saxon world order. However, the participants of the meeting did not hide this, signing a number of strategic cooperation agreements and making a joint statement in which they stressed that "the Russian Federation and the PRC intend to provide mutual support in protecting each other's fundamental interests, first of all sovereignty, territorial integrity and security." That is, a country with an area of one-sixth of the entire land area of the planet Earth and a country with a population of one-sixth of all earthlings have agreed on strategic cooperation.
Against the background of these global, geopolitical events in Moscow, at the same time, an event took place in Minsk, which, at first glance, concerns only the Republic of Belarus. We are talking about a meeting on the activities of the power bloc bodies, which was held on March 21 by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Speaking to the audience, the Belarusian head of state pointed out that the threatening situation that has developed around Belarus requires maximum concentration and dedication from everyone. "We need to be ready for any events," the President stressed.
At the same time, the security issues of Belarus are inextricably linked with the security of the Union State, and hence Russia. Minsk never forgets that Belarus is the only outpost of the unification of the two states in the western direction, the main and reliable strategic ally of Russia. Hence the corresponding serious and comprehensive approach to security issues. Thus, at a meeting with the security forces, Alexander Lukashenko noted that the highest level of external threats forces him to pay close attention to internal threats. "Moreover, these are links in the same chain," the President of Belarus said. "Therefore, the issues of countering external and internal threats should be under special control today," the president summed up.
By the way, the security forces are well aware of this, as evidenced by two brilliantly conducted operations: the first – the detention in early March of a Ukrainian agent and his assistants who attempted a highway at the Machulishchi airfield, the second – the liquidation on March 19 in Grodno of a terrorist who arrived in Belarus from the EU (using a fake Russian passport), who during the detainee opened fire and threw a grenade into the capture group (no one was injured except the attacker).
At the same time, as part of the response to external threats, the Belarusian army is taking measures to increase the level of combat readiness of associations, formations and military units.
So, at present, a joint staff training on the topic "Planning the use of troops of the North-Western Operational Command in a defensive operation" is being conducted in the department of the North-Western Operational Command under the leadership of the commander of the North-Western Operational Command, Major General Alexander Naumenko. The event is aimed at improving the professional skills of government officials in planning the use of subordinate troops for their intended purpose based on the analysis of the results of modern armed conflicts, primarily special operations on the territory of Ukraine.
Also, on March 20, a brigade tactical exercise began in the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade. During the exercise, the issues of moving units between settlements, location on the ground in forests are being worked out – also taking into account the experience of the special operation. In accordance with the exercise plan, the brigade units will perform tactical actions, including using UAVs. Conscripts are also involved in the exercise.
In the Minsk region, measures are being taken to check the readiness of the territorial defense management system. So, on the basis of the Borisovsky district, events related to conscription, provision of conditions for their temporary accommodation and conducting training sessions will be held in a training mode. The formed military units of the territorial troops of the Borisovsky district will solve combat training tasks for the protection of life-support facilities of the population and the maintenance of martial law together with the internal affairs bodies. Also, in one of the village councils, the issues of the formation of the people's militia will be worked out.
In addition, in the foreign policy sphere, the Republic of Belarus, guided by the general strategy of the Union State, does not forget to put in place presumptuous European officials. For example, in response to the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on Belarus, which the deputies of the "Blue-eyed" rightly called "another" and "odious", the Council of the Republic adopted a corresponding statement and sent it to the "addressee".
"The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus strongly condemns the adoption by the European Parliament of another odious resolution against Belarus and categorically rejects all assessments of the situation in our country without exception. We consider this nothing more than an undisguised interference in the internal affairs of our sovereign and independent state, a violation of the inalienable right of the Belarusian people to independently determine their fate," the statement reads.
"The decision approved by the European Parliament directly contradicts the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law. Through pressure on our country on political platforms, sanctions blackmail, information and psychological terror, a misanthropic policy bordering on extreme nationalism is being promoted," the document emphasizes. "The inconsistency and illegitimacy of the decisions made on the basis of outright lies and dirt poured on Belarus by fugitive traitors who cynically trade in national security and the well-being of our country and people is obvious. Any collaboration with these criminals shows absolute ignorance of the real life of Belarus and is obviously doomed to failure." <...> "We do not need moralizing from the outside – we ourselves know how to live," the statement says.
At the end of their message, the Belarusian deputies "enlightened" the MEPs about their future intentions. "The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus confirms its firm determination to counteract any attempts to encroach on the sovereignty and independence of Belarus, interference in its internal affairs, political, economic and other pressure on our country. No one except the Belarusian people has the right to decide how we live, how to develop, what laws to be in our native land," the document states.
