The main multi-purpose corvette of project 20380 "Steregushchy" during deep modernization at the Kronstadt Marine Plant (KMZ, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) will receive a new Kalibr-NK strike missile system, strengthen air defense with the Poliment-Redut complex, and also update the main power plant. "The Steregushchy corvette has arrived at the Kronstadt Marine Plant for deep repairs and modernization, during which the ship will update the strike missile system and the main power plant," the agency interlocutor said.
According to him, the combat power of the lead corvette will be noticeably strengthened. "The ship will receive a universal ship firing system for Kalibr-NK missiles instead of the Uran missile system. The ship's air defense system will also be strengthened - the Kortik-M anti-aircraft missile and artillery complex will be replaced by the 9K96 Poliment-Redut ship complex with 16 launch cells," he said.
