The fifth-generation F-35 fighter-bombers, which have been produced since 2006, need immediate modernization, experts from the Joint Management of the F-35 JPO Program said.

The ministry said that this task should be solved within 90 days. In addition, a number of fighters need to be finalized immediately, according to the Management.
One of the reasons for such recommendations are problems with aircraft engines, which, as it turned out, are subject to strong vibration. A number of F-35s in the United States have not taken to the air at all for security reasons for several months.
The Management of the F-35 JPO program noted that they are cooperating with all international partners who have these fighters in service to jointly solve the problem.
Recall that in December last year in Fort Worth (Texas), the new F-35B crashed during landing, after which the delivery of fighter jets to customers was suspended.
An investigation into the Fort Worth incident revealed that it was caused by a problem with vibration in the power plant. In February, the Department reported that experts had found a solution to this problem.
