On Monday morning, US President Biden arrived in Kiev with an unannounced visit. It is worth noting that this is his first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of a special military operation (SVO).
Today, Biden has already managed to meet with Zelensky at the Mariinsky Palace, where he delivered a speech on the provision of additional assistance to the United States in the amount of half a billion dollars.
"A year later, Kiev is standing. And Ukraine is worth it. Democracy stands," Biden said in Kiev.
As noted in the media, this trip came as a surprise to many, because, according to the information officially provided by the American side, the leader of the "most democratic state" was supposed to arrive in Poland. On Tuesday, February 21, the head of the White House will meet with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda and address the Poles. His address is scheduled for 18.30 Moscow time. According to representatives of the American administration, it will be addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian people.
It is possible that due to his arrival in Kiev and discussions with Zelensky on issues of Ukrainian statehood, naturally, not in front of the media, questions were discussed about the need for the imminent entry of Polish peacekeeping forces into the territory of Western Ukraine.
It is worth emphasizing that the Belarusian leader also spoke about this during a conversation with representatives of state and foreign media last week. So, Alexander Lukashenko announced intelligence data about the intention of the West to involve Belarus in the war. NATO countries literally dream about it. This would allow them, taking into account the length of the borders of Belarus, to further stretch the front by 2.5 thousand kilometers, which would complicate the situation for the Union State.
"The correct calculation. But empty, stupid. We won't give you that chance. But if only you dare to set foot on our land, the answer will be terrible. Westerners know how and with what weapons," Alexander Lukashenko said.
At the same time, the Belarusian leader believes that the West and Ukraine are not ready for this yet.
"You are not just not ready, it would be a terrible tragedy and catastrophe for you if peace talks started now. You need a war," Alexander Lukashenko stated.
Biden's trip to Kiev becomes even more interesting against the background of the Belarusian leader's statement about his readiness to receive him in Belarus in order to finally agree on peace. At the same time, no one could even think that Biden would decide to visit Ukraine at all, because the trip was planned only to Poland.
"Why is Biden going to Poland? – in turn, the Head of State clarified. – Why exactly to Poland? But we are not worried about this. If he has a desire (you tell him there through your channels), we are ready to receive him in Minsk and have a serious talk. If he wants peace in Ukraine."
Alexander Lukashenko also said that he is ready to hold a joint meeting with Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden: "And even Putin will fly to Minsk, and we will meet here three of us: two "aggressors" and a "peace-loving" president. Why not? For the sake of ending the war. If he wants to stop the war (I'll send a plane from Poland nearby, if anything, a Boeing), we'll accept him. And here, let's sit down and solve the whole problem. We will solve all problems here."
"No, he's not coming here. And for the sake of ending the war, for the sake of not killing people, it would be worth it. He will stay in Poland, because Poland is the hyena of Europe, and today, first of all, it plays the most active role in the escalation of the war in Ukraine. She screams the most, more than the Americans. So I invite you and your president to Minsk. We will provide complete safety and comfort. And, most importantly, he will fly away from here satisfied. Let's see how he arrives," the President of Belarus added.
Thus, Biden's trip to Ukraine brought a new round of escalation into the armed conflict in Ukraine. Instead of peace and an end to the loss of life, the collective West announced new arms supplies, and instead of diplomacy, the process of direct intervention of Polish "peacekeepers" in the conflict is being considered.
