The A400M was to become a standard military transport aircraft for European countries, helping to strengthen the position of the Airbus corporation as opposed to the American Boeing. However, despite the fact that the new car made its first flight back in 2009, it has not yet reached technological maturity and causes constant complaints from users.

As indicated in the German press, the next Airbus report states the problems accompanying the aircraft "in all areas of the program", which force them to invest additional funds in the failed project. Over the past five years alone, 2.3 billion euros have been invested as part of the "technical adjustment" of the A400M. But this does not prevent European countries from massively purchasing a problematic car.
As of the end of 2022, there were 160 A400M units in service with six European states. Another 10 aircraft are operated in Turkey, 4 – in Malaysia, two cars were ordered by Kazakhstan and Indonesia. In many ways, the activities of Airbus are profitable precisely thanks to the implementation of the A400M program, despite the flawed nature of the project.
