/tass/. The International Defense Exhibition IDEX-2023 opens on Monday in Abu Dhabi. According to Rosoboronexport (ROE, part of Rostec State Corporation), several samples of military equipment and weapons of the enterprises of the defense industry complex of the Russian Federation are planning to present at the exhibition for the first time.
In total, within the framework of the unified Russian exposition organized by the company, which will be located in a separate pavilion, it is planned to show foreign partners more than 200 promising models for all types of armed forces. In addition, negotiations of the Russian delegation with representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Middle East countries are planned on the sidelines of the exhibition. ROE will also hold public presentations of weapons and military equipment in the Russian pavilion.
In the joint pavilion of Rosoboronexport, the leading defense industrial enterprises and holdings of Russia will present their products, including the concern of East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey, Uralvagonzavod, Kalashnikov concerns, High-Precision Complexes, Technodinamika, Shvabe, Roselectronics and the Ulyanovsk Cartridge Plant.

For the first time abroad, the ORSIS 12.7 high-precision sniper rifle and a flamethrower in the MRO-A thermobaric equipment will be demonstrated. A full-scale sample of the Chukavin sniper rifle of the Kalashnikov concern will also be shown for the first time at a foreign exhibition.
In addition, for the first time in the Middle East, Rostec State Corporation will demonstrate to potential customers a guided air-to-surface missile "Product 305E" and a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Tornado-S". The same applies to the 30-millimeter high-explosive incendiary ammunition ZUOF23 with the possibility of remote detonation, which is many times more effective than a standard shot.
Another regional novelty will be the export version of the barrage ammunition used during the special operation in Ukraine - the kamikaze drone "KUB-E". Visitors will also be shown the most modern models of submachine guns: 5.45-mm AK-12, 7.62-mm AK-15 and 5.56-mm AK-19. All of them, Kalashnikov emphasizes, will be exhibited in the current version, taking into account their experience of combat use.
In addition, a wide range of Russian missile and artillery weapons will be presented, including the Iskander-E tactical missile system, the Chrysanthemum-S and Kornet-EM anti-tank missile systems. Aviation will be represented by models of the Checkmate light tactical aircraft and the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, Ka-52E and Mi-28NE combat helicopters, as well as the Mi-171SH military transport aircraft.
The armored vehicles will be represented by the T-90MS tank, the BT-3F armored personnel carrier, the BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicle, the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system, the Terminator tank support combat vehicle and the Octopus-SDM1 light floating tank. All these samples, Rosoboronexport emphasizes, have already proven themselves well in the region and have been tested during real combat operations against terrorist formations.
A wide range of anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes of various ranges and purposes, including the S-400 Triumph, Antey-4000, S-350E Vityaz, Viking and Tor of various modifications, will also be presented to partners at the exhibition.
As part of the business program, the Russian delegation plans to hold meetings and negotiations with representatives of the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies of the UAE and Middle East countries. In addition, it is expected to discuss projects on industrial partnership with leading manufacturers of defense products in the region.
On the second day of the exhibition, visitors to the Russian pavilion will be presented with a 57-mm multifunctional remote-controlled AU-220M combat module and a light multi-purpose Ka-226T helicopter, a full-scale model of which will be presented in a static parking lot. A day later, presentations of "Modern small arms of Russian production" and "Echeloned system of non-strategic missile defense" are planned.
