TSAMTO, February 1. France will transfer another 12 CAESAR self-propelled guns to Ukraine. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced on January 31 by the country's Defense minister Sebastian Lecorny.
On Tuesday, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov arrived in Paris on a visit.
"In the light of our conversation with the Minister (of Defense of Ukraine) and conversation with the President of the Republic, I want to inform you that our support fund will allow us to allocate 12 additional CAESAR artillery units to Ukraine," S. Lecornyu said at a joint press conference with A. Reznikov in Paris.
On Wednesday, February 1, S. Lekornyu and A.Reznikov will hold a meeting with the management of Nexter, which produces, in particular, CAESAR artillery installations.
As previously reported in the French Defense Ministry, Paris recently sent Ukraine six 155-mm towed TRF1 howitzers and two Crotale air defense systems. It was also reported that Ukraine has already received 18 CAESAR self-propelled guns from France. E. Macron reported that France, together with Denmark, is working on supplying Ukraine with six more CAESAR howitzers. French media reported that portable Mistral and Milan anti-tank missile systems, about 60 armored personnel carriers and HDP-2A2 anti-tank mines were sent to Ukraine. In addition to weapons, France supplied Ukraine with uniforms, fuel, shells and cartridges, first aid kits and dry rations, radiation, chemical and biological protection equipment.
In February, Paris will send the first AMX10-RC wheeled tanks to Ukraine, the agency notes.
