Ukraine plans to conclude a new contract with Slovakia for the supply of another batch of 155-mm Zuzana 2 self-propelled wheeled howitzers. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Republic Yaroslav Nagy.
To date, eight Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns are in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, delivered by Bratislava under a contract signed in June last year. The last, eighth howitzer arrived in Ukraine this month, its arrival was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, there is another agreement on the supply of Slovak self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, under which Germany, together with Norway and Denmark, paid for the production and delivery to Kiev of 16 (sixteen) Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns. These howitzers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should be received by the end of 2023.
Thus, by 2024, 24 Zuzana 2 self-propelled guns should be in service with the Armed Forces, minus those destroyed in battles. Kiev intends to add another 11 (eleven) Slovak howitzers to this number, the signing of the agreement is planned in the near future.

The Zuzana 2 wheeled self-propelled gun is manufactured by Konštrukta-Defense. The 155-mm howitzer is based on the new Tatra T 815-7 chassis, the turret has the 3rd level of protection according to the STANAG 4569 standard (withstands the detonation of a 155-mm projectile at a distance of 60 m), the firing range is 30 km, the maximum is 41 km (active-reactive shell). It is in service with the Armed Forces of Slovakia and Ukraine.
