BAS-200 It is reported that tomorrow, December 30, the Federal Air Transport Agency will issue a certificate on the certification of the first Russian unmanned heavy-class helicopter with the name BAS-200.
At the same time, despite the fact that the drone was developed for commercial operation (in particular, by the Russian Post), it is not yet possible to deliver goods with its help.
The fact is that the BAS-200 certification program has been completed by only 10% to date, out of the required 200 hours of test flights, only 10 have been completed, and the total flight time of all produced BAS-200 does not exceed 50 hours. Therefore, the document that will be issued tomorrow will become "symbolic" — in the form of a certificate of a limited category.
BAS-200 That is, with the help of an autonomous BAS-200, it will be allowed to engage only in aerial photography, checking ground objects, forest control and other narrowly focused air work not related to cargo transportation.
In addition, certification is seriously complicated by the fact that a sufficiently large number of parts and elements of foreign production are used in the BAS-200, including the engine itself, whose life does not exceed 100 hours — as a result, it is simply impossible to fulfill the requirements of the Federal Air Transport Agency for 200 hours of flight.
