Putin called the rapid provision of parts with weapons the main task of the defense industry enterprises TULA, Dec 23 — RIA Novosti.
The most important task of defense enterprises is to provide all units and advanced units with weapons, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on meeting the needs of the Armed Forces involved in the special operation.
Putin pointed out that it is important to improve the characteristics of weapons and equipment of the army, taking into account the combat experience gained. He called it a very important issue to provide defense industry enterprises with feedback from the units participating in the special operation to protect Donbass.
"I would like to emphasize that such an information exchange mechanism to improve the quality of military products supplied for a special military operation should be permanent and as effective as possible. Well, this practice has been established for a long time, including when using our weapons in the fight against terrorist gangs in Syria," the president added.
Putin noted the professionalism of employees of defense industry enterprises and engineers who go to work on the front line. There, industry employees help to quickly restore damaged equipment and return it to service. Designers check the machines in the field and make changes to the standard samples to improve their characteristics.
The Head of State also expressed hope that the state defense order in 2023 will be executed in full.
In addition, at the meeting on ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces involved in the special operation, the President will hear reports from the heads of defense industry enterprises and their proposals to eliminate problematic issues.
Today Putin arrived in Tula, where he got acquainted with the work of the Shcheglovsky Val machine-building plant, which produces combat vehicles for the Pantsir-S and Pantsir-S1 complexes, as well as the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system based on the Tiger car.
The President, accompanied by the Governor of the Tula region Alexey Dyumin and the general director of the enterprise Alexey Visloguzov, inspected the workshops, where he was presented with samples of guided projectiles, mines and missiles for various types of weapons, in particular, "Kornet-EM". Putin was also shown various models of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, including the Arctic model.
In one of the workshops, the president was shown a modernized BMP-2 combat compartment. Putin examined one of the cars, climbing the steps of the stand, which is used by workers in production. Visloguzov spoke about the nomenclature of military products, volumes and deadlines for fulfilling orders.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24. Vladimir Putin called its goal "the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." The armed forces face the task of liberating Donbass and guaranteeing Russia's security.
