The Russian Defense Ministry reports on the loading of the Yars ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) into a mine-type launcher. The loading operation was carried out in the Kozelsky connection of the RVSN.
The footage shows how the rocket is being moved to its base with the help of a special tractor adapted for transporting significant loads of long length. A military tractor as part of a road train, accompanied by the traffic police, was moving, including on public roads.
With the help of the loading and unloading module of a special platform, the multi-ton rocket was moved to an underground mine. At the same time, at first, with the help of special hydraulics, the wheeled platform with the ICBM was moved to a vertical position, after which the rocket was sent directly to the mine by an "elevator" method.
The whole technological operation took several hours.
