TSAMTO, November 29. According to exclusive information received by Navy Recognition, Belgium will send to Ukraine remotely Operated underwater Vehicles (ROV) R7 manufactured by ECA Robotics Belgium.
ECA Robotics Belgium is a Belgian subsidiary of the French ECA Group.
Currently, the Belgian Navy operates compact lightweight autonomous underwater vehicles REMUS 100, designed to operate in the coastal zone at a depth of up to 100 m. The device can be configured to use a wide range of standard and/or unique sensors, depending on the requirements for the task being performed.
Nevertheless, Navy Recognition claims that the product that will be delivered by Belgium to Ukraine is the remotely operated underwater vehicle R7.
The R7 is a remotely operated vehicle that combines compactness and ease of deployment with the characteristics, speed and load capacity of professional ROVs.
Fast, modular and easy to deploy, the R7 is designed for oceanographers, hydrographers and operators of underwater structures. The device is capable of operating at a depth of up to 300 m in various missions, including inspection, surveillance, maintenance and restoration of underwater objects.
R7 includes the latest developments in digital technology. 100% digital architecture facilitates the connection of the payload on the principle of "plug-and-play". The control of the device is ergonomic thanks to the intuitive "man-machine" interface. The R7 can be equipped with a manipulator with five functions, which makes it multifunctional. The device can easily handle or remove objects weighing up to 2 kg to the surface.
