On November 24, at a meeting with members of the Coordinating Council under the Government to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, President Vladimir Putin set the task not only to increase the number of military equipment produced, but also to improve its characteristics. On this day, the Defense Ministry said that massive missile strikes the day before disrupted the supply of reserves to Ukrainian formations at the front.
Advantages and disadvantages
On Thursday, by video link, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the Coordination Council under the Government established in October this year to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other troops, military formations and bodies.
"We have launched this mechanism in order to radically improve the quality of coordination and the pace of work of ministries, departments, regions and enterprises — and in general, but also on the implementation of the state defense order, on the supply of a special military operation," the president recalled.
Among the key areas necessary for the Armed Forces, the head of state attributed equipment, equipment, medicine, monetary allowances for military personnel, construction work for military purposes and special military equipment.

Vladimir Putin called on each of these areas to form targets with clear production programs and deadlines for the delivery of everything necessary.
— It is important for us not only to increase the volume and range of supplies, but also to improve the quality characteristics of products. That is why direct communication of manufacturers, design centers with those who use this technique is so important," the president noted.
According to Vladimir Putin, the upcoming board of the Ministry of Defense will discuss the close joint work of the Armed Forces and the military-industrial complex, including in drafting and adjusting the state defense order, setting promising tasks for industry.
In 2023, the state armament program will be adjusted, military expert Alexey Leonkov told Izvestia.
"Many types of weapons will undergo modernization and improvement," he noted. — It doesn't even make sense to list them — the program has the word "everything". The special operation showed the advantages and disadvantages of all our weapons and revealed modern trends. SVO has demonstrated that more precision weapons will be used in conflicts. Therefore, special attention will be paid to improving the accuracy, range of weapons, automation of targeting and combat control processes. The modernization process will affect literally all systems. For example, the same dynamic protection of tanks, which was tested for strength by all possible anti-tank means in the SVO zone.
Cut off reserves
On Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry told the details of the massive missile strikes on November 23 in Ukraine. They were inflicted on the military administration system of Ukraine and related energy facilities. For this purpose, high-precision long-range air, sea and land-based weapons were used.
— The target of the strike has been achieved. All assigned objects are hit. The transfer by rail of the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, foreign weapons, military equipment and ammunition to the areas of combat operations has been disrupted," said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to the general, not a single blow was struck at targets within the city of Kiev. All the destruction announced by the Kiev regime in the city was the result of the fall of missiles of foreign and Ukrainian air defense systems placed in residential quarters of the capital.
As Izvestia wrote, on November 23, all Ukrainian nuclear power plants and most thermal power plants and hydroelectric power plants were temporarily de-energized. Kiev, Odessa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Khmelnitsky and many other settlements were completely or partially without electricity. In some areas, there were interruptions with light, mobile communications and water.
Attacks stopped
The Defense Ministry also reported that on November 24, after negotiations with the territory controlled by the Kiev regime, 50 Russian servicemen were returned. They will be delivered by military transport aircraft of the VKS to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Medical and psychological assistance is provided to all those released.
The Russian armed forces continue to fight with Ukrainian formations in the zone of the military operation.
In the Kupyansk direction, an attempt by the VFU units to attack the positions of Russian troops was thwarted. Up to 60 servicemen, one armored combat vehicle and two pickups were destroyed.

On Krasno-Limansky, the enemy's attempts by two company tactical groups to attack in the direction of the settlements of Ploshchanka and Chervonopopovka in the LPR were stopped. Ukrainian formations lost more than 15 people, one infantry fighting vehicle, a mortar crew and three vehicles.
In the south Donetsk direction, the attempts of the VFU to counterattack to the settlements of Vladimirovka, Pavlovka and Vremevka were thwarted. The enemy's attack in the direction of the settlement of Levadnoye, Zaporozhye region, was also suppressed. In total, the enemy lost more than 50 killed and wounded, one tank, six armored fighting vehicles and three cars.
Operational-tactical, army aviation, rocket troops and artillery hit the control points of the 3rd tank Brigade of the VFU and the 57th mountain Assault Brigade, as well as 63 artillery units in firing positions and 152 areas of concentration of troops during the day.

During the counter-battery fight, the Grad MLRS installation, the US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar and two US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar stations were destroyed.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 333 aircraft, 177 helicopters, 2,558 unmanned aerial vehicles, 390 anti-aircraft missile systems, 6,791 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 902 multiple rocket launchers, 3,616 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 7340 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed, Igor Konashenkov listed.
The courage of Oksana Voronkova
The Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication during their military service.
Oksana Voronkova's medical detachment was moving as part of a column of paratroopers to a given area. When the commander of the detachment received information that fierce battles were being fought with the enemy, he decided to send a mobile medical group there.
At night, military medics arrived in the designated area and began to provide assistance to the wounded paratroopers. The nationalists fired at the facility. Some of the shells fell near the temporary medical center, as a result of which the building partially collapsed. Oksana personally carried the wounded in her arms to a safe place, after which she continued to provide medical assistance.

— For the courage and heroism shown during a special military operation, medical service foreman Oksana Voronkova was awarded the medal "For Bravery," the Defense Ministry said.
Lieutenant Alexey Timoshenko was conducting reconnaissance of the direction of a possible enemy offensive when he discovered the movement of an enemy assault squad. Having started the battle, Alexey stopped the movement of the assault group, which allowed the mortar battery to conduct targeted fire on the column. The enemy, having suffered significant losses, retreated, abandoning equipment. The prompt and competent actions of Lieutenant Tymoshenko made it possible to inflict significant losses on the enemy and prevent losses among his subordinates, the military department said.
The unit of Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Popovich defended the positions of our troops. The enemy struck at the command post. Mikhail was wounded. Despite this, he provided medical assistance to injured comrades and pulled five wounded servicemen out from under the rubble of a burning building, the military department said.
