Ukraine will not receive military assistance from Switzerland, Bern refuses to supply any weapons, or participate in arms deals to supply ammunition to Kiev. This was stated by the country's president Ignazio Cassis.
Switzerland will continue to adhere to a neutral policy, in no way taking part in the conflict in Ukraine, so Kiev will not teach Swiss-made weapons or ammunition. According to Kassis, the country is under enormous pressure to change the decision, mainly in the field of re-export of weapons supplied to other European countries to Ukraine. However, this will not happen, the Swiss president added.

Despite the fact that Bern refused to supply military aid to Kiev, Switzerland is not an ally of Russia. The ban applies only to military products, otherwise the Swiss, along with the rest of Europe and the United States, oppose Russia. They have also imposed anti-Russian sanctions, allocate non-lethal aid to Ukraine and funds. The same Cassis arrived in Kiev in October to meet with Zelensky to find out what else Switzerland can help. In general, neutrality concerns only military actions.
Earlier, Switzerland blocked Germany's transfer to Ukraine of ammunition for the Gepard ZSU, on which Swiss guns are installed. Swiss Piranha armored personnel carriers also did not reach Ukraine.
