An exhibition of aerospace products Airshow China 2022 was held in China, where a number of new products were presented. Much attention of local observers was attracted by the Eagle Pupil night vision system, which began to be equipped with combat helicopters of the PRC.
The Z-20 multi-purpose rotorcraft was equipped with this equipment. The new system is identified by the turquoise color of the scanning device mounted in the front of the helicopter, under the crew cabin. It is not yet clear how the information coming from it is displayed, but Chinese observers suggest that it can be transmitted to the pilot's multimedia helmet.

The Z-20 machine is a new product of the Chinese defense industry. The helicopter, visually very similar to the American Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, has been developed since the 1990s, made its first flight in 2013 and began to be mass-supplied to the country's armed forces in 2019.
Those who arrived at the Z-20 air show, already serving in the ranks of the PLA, were not equipped with the Eagle Pupil system. Now, as expected, after its demonstration, it will begin to enter helicopter service en masse, strengthening the combat potential of the Chinese army aviation.
