Dissatisfaction with the state of affairs in the German military-industrial complex is also recognized in the Association of Defense Workers, because already this week the Bundestag intends to approve the defense budget of the Armed Forces of Germany, which includes an amount of 100 billion euros. Funds are expected to be spent on the purchase of American fighter jets and military transport aircraft.
The whole problem lies in building a short-sighted foreign policy by the current head of the defense Department, Christine Lambrecht, who is ready to increase the combat capability of the German Armed Forces by any means, including even the earliest purchases of American advanced military equipment (the F-35 bomber, the P8A Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft, as well as the modification of the Chinook heavy transport helicopter).
It should be understood that by establishing rapid imports of weapons from the United States, the German state puts its domestic manufacturers under serious attack, depriving them of large investments of about 12 billion euros, which could be directed to increasing the production of its own units of military equipment.
