This is stated in an article published on Tuesday evening by Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov. It was posted on the Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in Washington.
"Today we are facing the threat of a radiation catastrophe. Kiev is hatching plans to carry out sabotage with the use of a "dirty bomb". The detonation of such a device will have a scale comparable to the triggering of a low-power nuclear munition. The shock wave will spray radioactive substances in the perimeter up to several thousand square meters. The infected territories will turn into an exclusion zone for 30-50 years," the Russian diplomat writes.
According to his testimony, "the task of creating a dirty bomb was entrusted to two Ukrainian organizations." "The work is at the final stage. Kiev has the necessary production base and scientific and technical potential, reserves of uranium-235 and plutonium-239, which are the main component of a nuclear charge," Antonov notes.
"An even more dangerous scenario, which is being worked out by Kiev, is the implementation of a provocation at nuclear power plants located on the territory controlled by Ukraine. This may lead to an accident comparable to the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters, from which the world has not yet recovered," the ambassador emphasizes.

"However, Washington dismisses our warnings, calling them "false" and "baseless." They use the formula "the fool himself", as if they don't understand how high the stakes are. It is quite obvious that the goal of the Ukrainian authorities is to disguise the provocation as Russia's use of tactical nuclear weapons and, pretending to be a victim, directly involve the United States and NATO in the conflict.
