Russian troops are increasingly using high-precision and barrage ammunition during theirOn November 8, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, inspected the command post of the United Group performing tasks in Ukraine.

He listened to the report of Commander Sergei Surovikin and awarded distinguished servicemen. On this day, Russian aircraft and artillery attacked Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems and artillery positions. Experts note that such strikes have intensified recently and directly undermine the offensive capabilities of the Ukrainian forces.

Surovikin's report on the situation

On Tuesday, the Defense Minister heard a report by the commander of the group, Army General Sergei Surovikin, on the operational situation, the nature of enemy actions, and the performance of combat missions by Russian troops in various operational areas. Separately, Surovikin reported on the provision of citizens called up for mobilization with all kinds of allowances.

After that, Sergei Shoigu presented the Gold Star medals of the Hero of the Russian Federation, the Order of Courage and other state awards to Russian servicemen for their courage and heroism, the Defense Ministry said.

On this day, the Russian armed forces continued to strike at military facilities in Ukraine.

During the day, the operational and tactical and army aviation and artillery of Russia destroyed the radar of the Ukrainian S-300 air defense system, the Buk-M1 self-propelled fire system, the AN/TPQ-64 counter-battery radar manufactured by the USA. In addition, four control points of the VFU, three ammunition depots and rocket and artillery weapons, fuel storage for military equipment, 64 artillery units in firing positions and 192 areas of concentration of troops were hit, the Russian military department reported.

Recently, Russian forces have been increasing the intensity of attacks on the positions of Ukrainian artillery and air defense systems, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.

"This is due to the fact that barrage ammunition of various classes and adjustable shells have been sent to the front, which allow hunting for Ukrainian artillery, key weapons systems at long range and with high efficiency," he explained. — What is called a reconnaissance and strike contour is being worked out - when we are constantly searching for targets from drones and not only, and when detected, we immediately point high—precision ammunition at them. After that, we immediately saw a lot of destroyed M777 howitzers, self-propelled artillery and anti-aircraft systems. It remains only to see the burning long-range HIMARS.

Such strikes seriously affect the offensive capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the expert added.

— It is becoming increasingly difficult to assemble a group for the attack on Kherson in the conditions of such losses. Ukraine receives weapons exclusively from abroad, its own is almost over. And deliveries do not come in a continuous stream, they come in waves, as it were. And if one wave is destroyed before the other one arrives, serious problems arise," Vladislav Shurygin concluded.

Army aviation strikes hit two company tactical groups of the VFU, which were advancing to attack in the areas of the settlements of Berestovoye in the Kharkiv region and Novoselovskoye in the LPR. During the counter-battery struggle, three VFU artillery platoons were hit. Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Mi-24 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near the settlement of Novovoskresenskoye, Kherson region, the ministry said.

The air defense forces shot down seven UAVs, 17 rockets of HIMARS and Alder multiple rocket launchers in the areas of the settlements of Gruzsko-Lomovka in the DPR, Antonovka, Chernobayevka, Krynki and Maslovka of the Kherson region. In fierce battles

The Russian Defense Ministry told about the servicemen who showed courage and dedication during the fighting.

The calculation of the anti-aircraft missile system of Private Nikita Evdoshchenko covered the Russian battalion tactical group (BTG) from an air attack. The positions of Russian servicemen were under fire. Reflecting the attacks, Nikita noticed an attack drone, which as a result was destroyed on approach to the BTG facilities, the department said.

The calculation of the combat vehicle of Senior Lieutenant Stanislav Dubinin suppressed the VFU objects with fire. The servicemen destroyed three platoons of howitzers and up to 30 militants. The losses suffered forced the Ukrainian formations to withdraw deep into their defenses.

Advancing on a tank deep into the defense of the VFU, Lieutenant Ismail Magomedov discovered a group of militants, immediately attacked and destroyed them. Then Magomedov and his platoon fortified themselves in a given area for a subsequent offensive. At that moment, the positions of the unit were fired from mortars. The officer promptly withdrew his platoon from under fire, but was seriously wounded in the arm. He gave himself first aid on his own and continued the offensive, as a result of which the settlement was liberated.

For the courage and heroism shown during the special military operation, Guard Lieutenant Ismail Magomedov was awarded the Order of Courage, the Defense Ministry said.
