"The President sets the task to provide our defenders with everything they need. For the Moscow region, as one of the leaders in the defense industry, this is a priority. Armocom Company is 30 years old this year, your engineers are constantly looking for new ways to improve the reliability of armor protection. The new premises were opened in early October, which allowed to increase the capacity for the production of helmets, bulletproof vests, body armor. This year it has grown 1.5 times. All this ammunition is now very necessary for our army, " Vorobyov said, his words are quoted by the press service of the regional government.
The article notes that the center for high-strength materials "Armocom" is the only supplier of combined-arms helmets and tank sets of equipment "Warrior" for the crew members of combat vehicles in the Russian Federation. The company develops and manufactures means of individual and collective armor protection from modern fiber-composite materials for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, including helmets, body armor, protective kits for armored vehicle crews, shields, as well as special equipment - assault and diving ladders, anti-cutting gloves.
It is explained that in October a new large workshop was put into operation, it is equipped with industrial sewing machines capable of stitching high-strength fabrics, machines for cold and hot pressing of products.
"The helmet that we make for the army in large quantities, the lightest - 1 kg, detains almost all fragments that may be on the battlefield. We have information that our helmets have saved the lives of dozens of soldiers who are taking part in a special operation. This year we made 50 thousand helmets, next year we plan to increase to 80 thousand. We also supply protective kits for the crews of combat vehicles - they do not burn, do not break through fragments. On May 1 of this year, 271 people worked at the enterprise, and now 330, and we will take more, since we have new production facilities, we are purchasing new equipment," said Yevgeny Kharchenko, CEO of Armocom, his words are quoted by the press service.
