The command and staff exercises with the Yoshkar-Ola Missile compound are being completed in the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Federation (RVSN). In total, more than 3,000 military personnel and about 300 pieces of equipment are involved in the exercise, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday, October 14.
It is noted that the commission of the Command of the Strategic Missile Forces inspects the state of combat training, and also checks the coherence of the actions of military personnel when performing tasks.
According to the military department, during the exercise, the issues of intensive maneuvering actions of Yars mobile missile systems, their camouflage and countering modern means of aerial reconnaissance in cooperation with formations and units of the Central Military District (CVO) are being worked out.
In addition, missile regiments equipped with the Yars mobile ground-based missile system are mastering new combat patrol routes.
It is clarified that a wide range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Aileron, is used to detect sabotage groups in the positional area of the missile division and the protection of the Yars PGRC.
According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense. special attention during the exercises was paid to new methods of engineering equipment and covering the field positions of mobile-based missile regiments, as well as the protection and defense of field areas at different times of the day. To accompany the mobile ground missile system "Yars" on the routes of combat patrol, the rocket men used the latest remote mine clearance machine (MDR) "Foliage".
The Ministry of Defense pointed out that the command and staff exercise of the Strategic Missile Forces with the Yoshkar-Ola missile unit will not only determine the overall level of combat training of the division, but also assess the capabilities of modern weapons and special equipment entering the units.
Earlier, on October 13, the Ministry of Defense showed the work of the Sturm-S missile systems . The agency noted that the vehicle is used to destroy enemy tanks and other armored vehicles, is capable of successfully hitting manpower and field fortifications, as well as low-speed low-flying air targets.
On the same day, the Buk-M3 calculations of the Central Military District destroyed the means of air attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Russian military captured an aerial target flying up to protected objects along a ballistic trajectory. It is clarified that the calculation carried out the launch of two anti-aircraft guided missiles and hit the enemy's air attack vehicle at a distance of several kilometers from the settlement. As a result, civilian casualties were avoided.
