Only to 2026 on the arms of the aerospace forces of the Russian Federation will be another 50 aircraft of the fifth generation fighter su-57. This writes the American edition of Military Watch Magazine. The author of the book believes that the aircraft will be delivered with six years behind schedule, and this, in turn, will provide extra capabilities of the American and Chinese programs in the field of construction of new aircraft.
Earlier it became known that the Russian aerospace forces has got six fighters of the fifth generation su-57. They were put into service of the aircraft in December 2020. Now expanding the Assembly line of the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, as the country's leadership requires the increased production of new aircraft.
Despite the fact that in SCD, only six new fighters, they have already been tested in battle. So, they were used for missile strikes on militant positions in Syria. Then the su-57, without entering into the affected area air defense, conducted launches of missiles on the territory of Ukraine. In the end, the su-57 was the first fighter firing rockets out of range of enemy air defenses.
These advances, however, according to the us publication, does not change the fact that the program for the construction of the su-57 behind the previously agreed schedule of their release. So, 50 aircraft had to put in videoconferencing in 2020, but in the end can only put in 2026.
However, according to the plan, by the end of 2024 in the VCS must be received 22 cars by the end of 2027 – 76 machines. In 2024-2027 years the Russian aerospace forces will be able to receive 18 fighters per year on average.
The American edition emphasizes that the delay of several years is not impressive for the construction of fifth-generation aircraft. So, in the United States have been similar delays. But in China ahead of implementing a program for the construction of aircraft J-20.
However, the fact that Russia is behind the program, according to the American magazine, may lead to the fact that the US and China is expected to overtake it in the construction of new generation aircraft. In the end, when Russia will complete the production of fifth-generation aircraft in the US or China can produce aircraft of the sixth generation. However, this is a very controversial point of view. For example, the U.S. still can't get a clear progress in developing hypersonic weapons, respectively, and Russia, and China.
In addition, the F-35 face many challenges, a program to create them can not be called perfect. Besides, the US is now faced with the consequences of the energy crisis, much of the money goes to support of Ukraine, so the rapid development of new technologies is unlikely to happen, especially in such a short term as three years.
