At the MSPO 2022 arms Exhibition in Kielce, the Polish Aviation Institute (Łukasiewicz-Instytut Lotnictwa) from Warsaw presented its newest product — the PRC-650 hovercraft for patrol and search and rescue operations. The company Farada Group from Lyubartov, known for the development of drones for medical transport, has received permission to manufacture these boats under license. They should be available internationally.
The PRC-650 hovercraft. General viewThe manufacturer stressed that the aeroglisser, or hovercraft, is designed for use in inland waters, especially in winter conditions on fragile ice and in shallow water in the interests of the police, fire protection, border service or water rescue teams.
It can also be used by the armed forces to conduct surveillance and reconnaissance or perform operational intervention tasks. The vessel can be transported by helicopter or in a sea container.

The PRC-650 has already been tested on water. The hovercraft is able to reduce thrust without changing the pressure in the cushion while maintaining full maneuverability. It is equipped with a BUKH SOLAS marine diesel engine (volume 2.4 liters, power 200 hp). The overall length of the boat is 6.5 m, width – 2.2 m. Curb weight reaches 1100 kg, permitted gross weight – 2200 kg. It is possible to transport up to nine people with a maximum speed of 70 km/h.
