The original was taken from a colleague of imp_navigator in the Head catamaran of the type "Shahid Suleimani" accepted into the Iranian NavyOn September 14, 1401, according to the Iranian calendar (September 5, 2022, according to our calendar), the lead ship of the Shahid Soleimani type missile catamarans, named in honor of the martyr General Qasem Suleimani, who died as a result of an American strike in early 2020 during a visit to the Iraqi capital, was officially accepted into the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps..

As far as can be judged, the missile armament of the IRGC Navy catamarans of the Shahid Soleimani type consists of six cruise missiles placed in inclined PU on the sides of the vessel, as well as vertical launch cells for short-range and medium-range anti-aircraft missiles located in the central part of the superstructure behind the wheelhouse. As the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, General Bagheri, said today during the ship commissioning ceremony: "This is the first military ship of the Islamic Republic of Iran of domestic design, equipped with short- and medium-range vertical launch air defense systems."

As for the artillery armament, it seems to consist of an artillery installation with one 30-mm cannon, as well as 4x 20-mm cannons.

I made the inscriptions in English so that those of my readers who do not know Russian and use a translator could understand.

Interesting cells. In the first shots, when they were not shown in close-up, it seemed to me that there were 6 vertical launch cells for medium-range anti-aircraft missiles and 16 for short-range anti-aircraft missiles in four blocks, but it looks like the four blocks on the sides turned out to be very large cells. Perhaps some rather large missiles want to place there, or vice versa, blocks of small missiles, or maybe both.. It's hard to say yet.

In addition, two missile boats have been accepted into the IRGC Navy. As far as we can understand, Shahid Dara (P313 6) is an old Tondal class missile boat after repair and modernization, and Shahid Rouhi (P313 11) is an inexpensive new type missile boat.
