TSAMTO, August 29. All frigates of Project 11356 purchased in Russia will be armed with Brahmos missiles, Alexander Maksichev, co-director of BrahMos Aerospace from the Russian side, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
As the agency reminds, the contract for the construction of the last two frigates of Project 11356 for the Indian Navy at the Yantar plant and two frigates at the Goa plant (India) was concluded in 2018. The construction of two ships for India in the Russian Federation will be completed in 2022-2023.

"All frigates of Project 11356 purchased in Russia are armed with our missiles. In particular, this applies to frigates under construction," RIA Novosti quotes A. Maksichev.
According to him, the last two frigates are also equipped with Brahmos missiles.
"We have already done it. We supply a complex, the ship cannot be handed over without installing all the equipment. The acceptance tests must be carried out with confirmation of the operability of the complex. BrahMos Aerospace has delivered launchers and shipboard firing control equipment for two frigates to Kaliningrad," A. Maksichev said.
