MOSCOW, August 27/ Sputnik Radio. The Japanese police will use drones and artificial intelligence technologies to protect the leaders of the "Big Seven", said the head of the Public Security Committee Koichi Tani.

Security measures will be strengthened after the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

"Next year, during the G7 summit, it is planned to use artificial intelligence, drones and other types of advanced technologies. We want this to become a PR for security and order at home and abroad," RIA Novosti quoted Tanya as saying.

Shinzo Abe was fatally wounded on July 8 while speaking at an election rally in Nara Prefecture. The former prime minister was wounded in the neck and chest and subsequently died in hospital from blood loss.

The funeral and cremation of the politician took place on July 12. The state funeral ceremony of the former head of government is scheduled for September 27.

The 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, who shot Shinzo Abe, did not resist during the arrest and confessed to the crime.

Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that Shinzo Abe, who shot him, tried to make a bomb.
