Security measures will be strengthened after the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Shinzo Abe was fatally wounded on July 8 while speaking at an election rally in Nara Prefecture. The former prime minister was wounded in the neck and chest and subsequently died in hospital from blood loss.
The funeral and cremation of the politician took place on July 12. The state funeral ceremony of the former head of government is scheduled for September 27.
The 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, who shot Shinzo Abe, did not resist during the arrest and confessed to the crime.
