/tass/. The Russian Orbital Station (ROS) will be able to be "eternal" thanks to replaceable modules. This was stated on Monday by the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, during a visit to the Cosmonaut Training Center, his words are quoted in the message of the state corporation.
At the meeting of the Director General of Roscosmos with cosmonauts, the prospects of creating a Russian orbital station were discussed.
"Yuri Borisov said that the station will be able to be "eternal" due to replaceable modules, and a new generation of spacecraft will serve it. In addition, the head of the state corporation is convinced that despite the national principle of creating the station, friendly countries can be involved in the project," the message reads.
"I think the station should be open to friendly countries, for international research," Borisov said. The report notes that the work on the creation of a national space station and space transport infrastructure will be incorporated into the concept of the development of manned cosmonautics.
