TSAMTO, August 17. Vasily Boytsov, Deputy General Director for Innovation and Technical Development of USC, confirmed USC's readiness to participate in the creation of a unified information environment for unique equipment at the Army-2022 forum.
The event was held in the format of a joint meeting of the Expert Council for the Aviation Industry, the Expert Council for the Development of the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology, as well as the Expert Council for the Development of Transport Engineering under the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade.
In his speech, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, First Vice-President of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia Vladimir Gutenev stressed the importance of the discussed topics and noted, noting that "we are faced with the fact that it has become very difficult to buy and even maintain unique equipment. The creation of a platform with the help of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which allows Russian manufacturers to use the industrial equipment of partners, will undoubtedly facilitate the work of our companies. Thus, the task of additional loading of the idle fleet of equipment, primarily machine tools, is solved."
For his part, the deputy head of the USC, Vasily Boytsov, said that "of course, we are ready to participate in the information system and consider proposals that will come to our address. This is not only a question of optimizing the use of the machine park – it is time to respond to existing challenges by introducing new technologies, primarily additive technologies. We need legislative support to simplify the procedure for access to new technologies and new materials both within the framework of the State Budget and within the framework of civil shipbuilding. We are talking about powder technologies, new welding methods."
V. Boytsov also said that the corporation had applied to the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the construction of a domestic center for hot isostatic pressing technologies. "Issues of optimizing the loading of machining, and issues of its maintenance, modernization, purchase of metal-cutting tools require consolidation of all our capacities in the current conditions. We took the first step in this direction at the beginning of this year, when we decided to move our machining facilities from our St. Petersburg enterprises to a single center in Kolpino," he said.
Alexander Spiridonov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade, drew attention to the need to increase investments in the modernization and technical re-equipment of defense industry enterprises, including shipbuilding and ship repair plants. He also announced a meeting of the Expert Council for the Development of the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology, dedicated to pricing issues in civil shipbuilding, which will consider amendments to the law on industrial policy.
During the discussion, the joint use of capacities and the concept of distributed production and limitations in increasing the capacity of machining production were also discussed. Among the participants and speakers were representatives of UAC, Transmashholding, GC "Digit" and others.
