TSAMTO, August 15. Rostec State Corporation presents a new generation of ammunition at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022". One of the key novelties is a shot for a small–sized jet flamethrower in thermobaric equipment.
The small-sized jet flamethrower in the MRO-A thermobaric equipment is designed to destroy manpower located in residential and industrial buildings, in defensive structures, as well as in automotive and lightly armored vehicles. With a relatively small caliber and a weight of 4.7 kg, it has highly effective damaging properties. The MRO-A jet flamethrower has been adopted by the Russian army.
The forum also presented a mock–up of a new product - a 30-mm ZUOF23 shot with a high-explosive incendiary projectile with a remote-controlled contact fuse (UDKV) for 2A42 and 2A72 automatic guns.
The complex of remote control of the time of detonation of projectiles (KDUVPS), in addition to the shot, includes a laser programmer-emitter, which provides the transmission of information about the time of detonation of the projectile to the UDC after the projectile leaves the barrel. Therefore, unlike other ways of programming a remote fuse, no modification of the guns is required. The shot is designed to destroy manpower, unarmored equipment and means of air attack at ranges up to 4000 m.
The ZUOF23 shot is many times superior to the standard OFZ shot with a contact fuse in efficiency. The product is a qualitative step in the development of small-caliber ammunition due to the transition to controlled remote detonation.
In addition, Rostec's joint exposition presents mock-ups of ammunition for various multiple launch rocket systems, as well as models of transport-loading and MLRS combat vehicles. Among them are the latest developments – a heavy flamethrower system (TOS-2) and an engineering system for remote mining (ISDM).
The heavy flamethrower system TOS-2, unlike its predecessors TOS-1 and TOS-1A, has a wheeled chassis. At the same time, the loading of shells into the launcher takes place using a manipulator crane located on a combat vehicle, which made it possible to abandon the transport-loading machine.
The engineering system of remote mining (ISDM) allows you to maximize the combat capabilities of units to solve operational mining tasks. Ammunition loaded with mines of various types (anti-tank and anti-personnel) is equipped with a self-destruct function and fully meets the requirements of Protocol II of the Geneva Convention.
The exhibition also presents the latest guided missile to the MLRS "Tornado-S". It is equipped with a satellite navigation system and, due to the control unit created on the basis of a free-form inertial navigation system, it can receive individual flight tasks for each projectile. The firing range of guided missiles is more than a hundred kilometers. The accuracy of the Tornado-S projectiles is 15-20 times higher than that of the Smerch MLRS projectiles.
In addition, a whole line of new missiles for the Tornado-G MLRS was presented at the forum.
The Rostec pavilion also demonstrates a wide range of ammunition for tank, field and naval artillery from 57- to 152-mm, armed with artillery units of the Armed Forces and Navy of the Russian Federation.
Special attention has traditionally been paid to two new tank shots with armor-piercing sub-caliber shells. This is a 125-mm shot 3VBM23 ("Lead-2") with a 3BM60 armor-piercing sub-caliber projectile to the 2A46M tank gun and a 125-mm shot with an armor-piercing sub-caliber projectile of increased power ("Mango-M") to the 2A46M tank gun (experimental sample).
Their key feature in comparison with the standard 3VBM17 shot is increased armor penetration at a level of more than 20%. This allows you to hit almost the entire range of enemy armored vehicles from a distance of more than 2 km.
Among the exhibits that deserve attention is the RPG–30 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade with a single-use grenade launcher, which is the only system of hand-held anti-tank weapons capable of overcoming any known complexes of active protection of armored vehicles.
Of the presented samples of aviation bomb weapons, the unified planning bomb cassette PBK-500U SPBE-K, designed for round-the-clock all-weather use without the aircraft entering the area of action of fire means of object air defense and delivering self-aiming combat elements to the target with high accuracy, also deserves special attention. Provides the defeat of armored vehicles, ground-based radars, control points and power installations of anti-aircraft missile systems with thermal and radar contrast relative to the underlying surface under the influence of natural and artificial interference.
Also within the framework of the forum, Rostec demonstrates an unguided C-13B aircraft missile of increased efficiency. The product is designed to defeat both invulnerable equipment and military equipment in reinforced concrete shelters.
Among the key exhibits is the Zagon–2E anti-submarine guided aerial bomb. The product is designed to detect and defeat submarines located on the surface, under-telescope and underwater positions. This sample has increased the effectiveness of destruction by two to three times compared to standard ammunition. It has no analogues.
In addition, the Rostec joint exposition presents the L376-2 "Yagel" trap cartridge, which makes it possible to effectively protect aviation from "smart" missiles. The products are used at altitudes up to 20 thousand meters . m and at speeds up to 1500 km/h. They are designed to combat aviation weapons equipped with an optical guidance system and with kinematic target selection.
In addition, within the framework of Army-2022, the State Corporation's enterprises demonstrate a wide range of non-lethal products used by special forces units during anti-terrorist measures and operations to maintain public order. The exposition also presents a line of non-lethal grenades, a self-defense complex "Wasp" and other pyrotechnic products for jamming and masking equipment.
